Do you like to run around in a loincloth and swing a giant sword around?
Yeah, me too. But it's the sort of thing that's, unfortunately, frowned upon in our overly-repressed society these days. Much better to simply pretend you're doing it while hanging out with some friends. And if you're going to pretend that you're running around in a loincloth and swinging a giant sword, I can't really think of a better setting to do it in than Robert E. Howard's Hyboria. Good thing that Modiphius has launched a Kickstarter campaign to bring us all a new Conan RPG.
This new book, fully called Robert E. Howard's Conan: Adventures in an Age Undreamed, is 368 pages of full color art and rules. And the artwork is one of the major focuses of the campaign. Modiphius has lined up a multitude of some of the greatest artists currently out there to lend their hand at bringing this book to life, visually. As for the setting and rules, they are taken to fit perfectly in the classic tales of Conan you've (probably) read. It uses Modiphius' 2d20 system that they've used in past projects. It will be overseen by Robert E. Howard authorities, so as to closely as possible capture the feel of the original works. So if you want "the definitive Conan RPG," you've found it.
The campaign's up now and is already close to funding (if not having funded already, by the time you read this). So it's on to stretch goals for the next 33 days.
