In the far future, man has created many colonies on other worlds. Mars, Venus, Mercury all have habitable zones where humanity has started to place their own mark on the world. Though, it's sort of a necessity, since it seems Earth isn't doing so well. Colonies are also where humans live on our own home planet. But, with colonial life comes issues. Habitats have to be built. Resources have to be gathered. And, of course, things are always breaking. Juggling all the problems and responsibilities is tough, but I'm sure you're up to the task. That's the story behind Mind: The Fall of Paradise, a new sci-fi board game that's up on Kickstarter.
In the game, players pick one of the four factions (Earth, Mars, Venus, or Mercury) and must maintain their colony over the course of the game, looking to gaining the five achievements (Researcher, Ruler, Dominator, Builder, and Seeker). There's always going to be something going on, though, and you'll only have so many resources to allocate to issues as they come up. The game offers options for solo, cooperative, and competitive play. Each of the four factions in the game has different pros and cons, owing to the different environments that they're in.
The Kickstarter campaign is up and running now. They're set to run for another 34 days.
