I am about to release a new and exciting concept for WWII skirmish gaming. Cards are used not just for unit activation but also for combat resolution, morale, and movement. As a result there are no large chart cards to clutter your table, and play is streamlined by eliminating the need to look up and cross index information on a series of carts to resolve combat.
The card-based activation uses the Double Random Activation (TM) mechanism that provides the drama and unpredictability of other card-based schemes, but it avoids the phenomenon of one person doing stuff while everyone else watches.
Cover is represented explicitly. It is not a modifier to your to-hit roll. Instead, when you hit a target, you draw a card to determine the severity of the wound and the hit location. Cover icons appear on many of the cards. If the target soldier is in the cover indicated by the cover icon, the target is not wounded, but instead ducks back and becomes stunned. Mathematically this can be the same as a modifier to hit; however, I have found in testing that players really like knowing that they would have been hit, but the door frame, tree, or stone wall protected the soldier. Also, since cover is not a modifier to hit, players shoot into an area and don’t have to worry about what cover the majority of the unit is in or some other mechanism. You fire at an area, and then when the soldier who was hit is randomized, you apply the appropriate cover for that soldier. This works really well and streamlines combat resolution.
The rules are going through the final edit. When that is done, you will be able to order the special card decks from DriveThru Cards. These arrive in the mail as high-quality poker size cards on premium card stock. The basic rules and a sample scenario that use just the basic rules will be a free download from DriveThru. The advanced rules and vehicular rules will be a second download.

The Ninja Crusade 2nd Edition, Third Eye Games’ RPG of high-flying martial arts action, is kicking butt on Kickstarter. With two weeks to go, the campaign has reached more than 75% of its $12,000 goal. Visit the campaign page to help put this game over the top!
In The Ninja Crusade 2nd Edition, players take the role of individual ninja from a variety of clans and backgrounds, crafting their personalities and experience with our new Lifepath-style system. Taking inspiration from plenty of martial arts movies, like the Sorcerer and the Snake orSeven Samurai, mixed with anime influences like Naruto: Shippuden, Avatar: The Last Airbender or Basilisk, we at Third Eye Games have put together the ultimate ninja RPG.
We’ve focused our third eye to design the Chakra System, an all-new system we’ve built from the ground up to deliver a unique experience. The engine emulates fast-paced martial arts fights by allowing a variety of attacks, counters, and interrupts that keep the action flowing.
We’re putting together a spectacular hardcover book that will feel great in your hands and look great on your shelves. If we hit our stretch goals we’ll also be able to convert sourcebooks from the first edition to the new system, so come on by the Kickstarter before November 5th to pledge your support!

The South African wheeled vehicles are one of the more popular forces in our 15mm SF range, and today they get further firepower options with a pair of new vehicles.
The Ratel is a lighter version of the Rhino heavy tank. It’s a fast 4×4, skid-steered vehicle sporting an 8cm railgun and slightly lighter armour than it’s larger cousin.
The Olifant self-propelled gun is based on the chassis of the Rhino, but with the turret replaced by a fixed superstructure carrying a 17cm long-barrelled gun. It employs a variety of ammunition from conventional HE to bomblets and terminally-guided ‘smart’ warheads for anti-tank work.
