Wednesday already. Granted, for me, it’s usually the day of the week that takes the longest. Not that there’s anything particular terrible that happens on Wednesdays. It’s just the day that seems to go on the longest. Gotta make it up and over that hill and then we can slide back down toward the weekend. “Step by step, you climb the mountain,” such as it were. But when climbing mountains, you need to bring along provisions. In this case, it’s bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: New Cross-Shaped Clear Bases Available From Sally 4th, Dog Centaur Minis Available From Punga Miniatures, Wizards and Lizards Paper Minis Available From Okumarts Games, New Space Corsair Mini Available From Brother Vinni, Overrunners Sci-Fi Minis and Vehicles Up On Kickstarter, and Big Fat Panda Running Gaming Protection Components Kickstarter.
These are 25mm round bases, as an experiment we cut them down to a cross shape to see how they would work. We were surprised that figure stability increased as the cross shape could sit between small rocks and other terrain detail instead of sitting on top at an angle and that figures could be placed easier in and around terrain and that figures could be placed a lot closer together than the ‘open order’ or round or square bases. We’ve made them available for any one who would like to try them out in our clear base shop @ Clear Terra-Bases – Sally 4th RRP £4 for 20 bases

Hi! Hi there! My name is Bob Naismith. This Kickstarter is about the Overrunners – a range of 28-30 mm Resin sci fi soldiers and their vehicles. They can find a place on your gaming table or collectors shelf anytime as either the good guys or the bad guys! I have been working as a freelance sculptor mainly in the Sci fi and Fantasy wargaming business for more than thirty five years. It’s likely that you may have some of my work in your collection already even if you don’t know it! Having really enjoyed working with world class manufacturers on an ongoing basis I wanted to release some of my own designs for sci fi into our market. I have seen what the Kickstarter community can do for new projects and have now decided that its time for me to bring my own dreams to life with your help – My plan is that if this Kickstarter is successful then I’ll be making more ranges of figures that expand upon this first set – so keep watching!
Big Fat Panda presents a new line of gaming accessories for board and miniature games. Plastic Holders, Pocket Deck boxes and Storage Boxes in a wide variety of sizes. So far, the protection of the games was mainly focusing on the cards, using card sleeves and some storage solutions for placing board game components. Would not be nice to have the chance to protect more of the games components? Tokens, tiles, hexes, coins. Board games include a wide range of paper or carton material that must be protected especially when a game is used many times or is quite expensive. Now we can offer a wide range of products capable to protect all these components once and for all. Big Fat Panda is focusing on producing such accessories for the gamers and change somehow the way the games are being used.
