You know, when I was very little, I got a very bad fever and my psychic abilities never came in right. I can’t read other people’s thoughts or move things with my mind. I don’t like to draw attention to it, since I don’t want people to just see me as the “not psychic guy.” But even though I don’t have psychic abilities, I can live the life vicariously through games like Metal Minds, a new card game that’s up on Kickstarter now where you play a psychic agent that’s indentured to the government on the planet Kal-Purnika.
Players work as psychic agents looking to discover abandoned power plants out on the planet’s surface and harvest energy spheres (called rift orbs).
You are a psychic agent indentured to the government of the colonial planet, Kal-Purnika. While on a mission to harvest energy spheres called rift orbs in the Outer Stretch mountains. You’ve come across a broken-down power plant and your job is to get it working again. Use your devices and maneuvers in order to get orbs while working against your opponents. The first one to get 8 Rift Orbs in front of them wins.
The campaign just got up and running today and is set to go for another 29 days.
