For a brief period of time right when I went away to college, I was into anime. I've still only seen only a handful of series, but they're pretty major ones like Cowboy Bebop and Trigun. And while I may not have seen anything newer than those, I can still appreciate the form and those that create products based on them. As such, I bring you Masamune: Shining Forge, a new deck-building game that's up on Kickstarter and looking for some funding love.
In the game you play as students of the Masamine Shining Forge Academy. You are training your living weapons, the Chibis, as you go through your studies. However, occasionally the instructors at the school will give you tests in the form of sending monsters after you (seems a bit harsh, but waddyagonnado?). Defeat the monsters to add to your overall score. At the end of the 5th exam, the player that's defeated the most monsters is declared the winner.
The campaign just recently got underway, so there's still 31 days left on the clock.
