Halfbreed??? So, Dwarf + Cow = Halfbreed? Udder madness!

Yeah, evil dwarf bull centaurs – where do these crazy Mantic people get their ideas?

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm XD

Yeah, GW, I know. What I’m getting at is the name choice. Bull centaur: Alright, it’s like a regular centaur but with a big Mesopotamian beard. Mom and dad bull centaur have bull centaur babies. But halfbreed? That’s outright saying bull on dwarf action, which is fine. I’m not biased against fantasy races boning animals to generate fantasy monsters, just wondering if anyone thought that name through.

        I instantly thought the same.

Happy someone else did, so I’m not the only freak around… 🙂

The background for these is that they are the result of using evil magic to combine dwarves with creatures from the abyss (a place described as a great big chasm in the mantic world, filled with all sorts of horrors)

So, more of a “mutant/possessed” frankenstein job using magic to splice things together rather than “dwarf that got frisky with a cow”.

Note the barbed stinger tails, they’re not entirely bull-based.

I believe that these were originally called “hybrids” (way back when the original Abyssal dwarf sets first came out), but the name was changed when Mantic began using that term to describe models with both metal and plastic pieces.
