Surprised GW hasn’t taken legal action against these guys yet.

Prices are in Euros. GW only sues small companies in the US.

    • They aren’t using any GW owned trademarks so there is little GW could do.

The only thing they might be able to get them on is the design of the guns, not sure if bolters are/could be a trademark. But even then would just need a bit of reworking.

They are custodes based on adrian smith’s illustration, and it’s pretty obvious the company is built on producing amateurish figures that infringe on GW IP.

The Chapterhouse Lawsuit showed us that you have to go pretty far in order to infringe upon GW’s IP. Also, that GW doesn’t actually own half of the IPs that they claim.

As for the minis themselves, nothing is actually shaped quite like it is either in the artwork or on any GW mini (including the bolters, shoulder pads, segmented legs). They don’t even have the tall conic hats that Adeptus Costodes are known for.

Of course, GW’s policy has been simply to send out a C&D without having to have evidence. The Chapterhouse suite has sent a poor precedent for them there too.

I see you are not familiar with the artwork that I am referring to. There is a subset of custodes with black, non-pointy helms. Thats what these are supposed to be.

You are correct that these are bad renditions of the art, but they are based on GW art none the less.

These would make for really cool Emperor’s Children.
