In a dystopian future, people are struggling for control. Two rival factions have grown up and are looking to defeat the other. The only path to winning lay in defeating the leader of the enemy faction. But nobody's entirely sure who is in charge. The leaders are kept hidden, blending in with their followers. That doesn't mean that there aren't assassination attempts, of course. However, attacking the wrong person isn't going to help. For a new faction of the disenfranchised (aka - those that have been attacked) is also looking to gain control, and they're more than happy to swell their numbers with those that have been taken out of the other factions. That's the story behind Leaders of Euphoria, a new board game up on Kickstarter.
In the game, players are divided up between the two factions. The goal is to take out the leader of the opposite faction. You'll do this by interrogating other characters, trying to get the information you need. Along the way, you'll use technology from a lost age (aka - junk from our current time that people think are relics, when it's really just random stuff) in order to mess over your opponents. If you take out the opposite team's leader, you win. But if you wrongly accuse someone of being the leader, that player will join a new, 3rd faction (this includes players from both sides). That team's goal is to also eliminate the leaders. So guess correctly or create another enemy for you to fight against.
The Kickstarter campaign's up and running now. It's already over the funding goal, so it's on to breaking through stretch goals for the next 22 days.
