"Players begin the game as dung beetles."
I... can't say that I've ever seen that sentence written before in regards to a game. So there's a new one. But it is, indeed, the case in Karmaka, a new card game that's up on Kickstarter now and looking for some funding love.
The game revolves around Karma (which is widely reported to be "a bitch," if my Facebook feed is to be believed). Players, as I mentioned, start out as dung beetles and, though playing cards, they can increase their karma. Or you can play cards to reduce another player's karma. But beware, as cards played against another player can then be taken by that player as part of their next hand of cards (their next life) and then be used (possibly against you). The object of the game is to be the first one to achieve Enlightenment.
The campaign just launched and funded very quickly, so they're working their way through stretch goals for the next 27 days.
