It’s good to know what’s going on in the upper echelons of the game companies we love. The people in charge of the companies have a lot of say in what direction that company goes. You want good people with steady heads in charge. And that’s what CMON Limited is getting in promoting Jules Vautour to Chief Operating Officer. They’ve just posted up the announcement.

From the announcement:

CMON Limited announced Jules Vautour has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) as of October 1, 2017. He joined CMON in March 2016 as Sales Director and has since grown in his role along with the company. In this new position, his expertise in the tabletop industry and management are hugely beneficial as he provides daily oversight of the CMON’s business in all of North America.

Jules has a long, successful history within the hobby industry. From May 2009 to August 2012, he was a Canadian National Sales Representative for ILO307 Inc. Then, he moved into the position of Sales Director for Asmodee Editions Inc. from August 2012 to December 2015. In this role, he was responsible for the sales of their games and all of their US based studios. During his time as Sales Director at CMON, he has helped usher CMON into a time of great growth within the industry.

“I’m humbled and grateful that CMON trusts me with this position,” says Jules. “I look forward to embarking on this next step with the rest of the team.”

As COO, Jules will continue to oversee sales throughout the world along with managing the daily activities of CMON’s American and newly-opened Canadian offices. Jules’ relationship with distributors and retailers remains unchanged in his move to COO.

Always cute to see a fawning “news” item about CMON here, considering they own this site.

What happened to the previous COO? Was he pushed into the plastic grinder?
