At the dawn of RPGs, Judges Guild was there. I'm willing to bet that most of you weren't even born when their first products became available at Gen Con 1976. I know I wasn't. Their products and ideas helped shape what would be the hobby RPG world. For example, they were the first to create an adventure module. Well, now they've got a whole bunch of old notes and things they've put together, along with some new material, and are running a Kickstarter campaign for the results.
The Judges Guild Deluxe Collector's Edition brings back some truly unique pieces of gaming history. It's broken up into two items. The first is a book containing Tegel Manor, Thieves of Fortress Badabaskor, Citadel of Fire, five issues of the Judges Guild Journal, and additional articles and new game material. The other is a reprint of some rather old modules, including Tegel Manor, Thieves of Fortress Badabaskor, Citadel of Fire, and Dark Tower.
The campaign is already over their funding goal. So it's on to working through stretch goals for the next 21 days.
