Here in Georgia, I have several friends who enjoy hunting. Occasionally I’ll see updates of them sitting in some hide somewhere, in their cammo, usually freezing their butts off. Well, while they’re there, waiting for something to come by, they could perhaps play a game of Hunting Season, a new card game that’s up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
Six months ago the idea for Hunting Season came to life in the mind of Quin Friberg, and after a month of working through game mechanics and creating test run cards, a group of friends played the game for the first time. It was a success, the mechanics worked well, and the results were a game full of strategy without being overly complicated. After playing the game over the next several months with dozens of different people, a few minor adjustments were made and the official deck was designed and ordered for final testing. A game manual was designed (link below) and a plan made to make this game available to the public.
The funds from this kickstarter will go to purchase the first bulk order of this game. The cards are finished, test decks have been ordered, the manual is complete, the game box is being designed now, and by August everything will be in place to make the first bulk order, making September the time for those who support this kickstarter to get their copy of the game,
The game is up on Kickstarter now. The campaign is set to run for another 26 days.
