If games like Grand Theft Auto have told us anything, it's that it can be fun to sometimes play the bad guy. Running around, stealing cars, robbing banks, and doing all that sort of nasty stuff in order to gain fat piles of cash and retire to some tropical island certainly has its appeal. And it's just that sort of appeal that gets you playing Heist to Paradise, a new dice game that's up on Kickstarter now.
In the game, players are criminals looking to be the first one to steal a million dollar's worth of stuff and escape to live the life of luxury. This is done by taking on missions and rolling your dice. However, you have to pick your missions carefully and roll well, lest the police start trying to hunt you down. Then it's a mad dash to get away. But with risk comes reward. Your criminal cred can go up during a chase, getting you more respect. But let that get too high and you'll spend all your time running from the cops. It's a delicate balance.
The campaign's up and running now. They're a bit more than halfway to their goal with still 13 days left on the clock.
