Greg Stafford and Sandy Petersen Return to Chaosium

Greg Stafford and Sandy Petersen Return to Chaosium

Chaosium is hitting the wayback button and going back to their roots with some new old staffing. First off, Greg Stafford, founder of the company and a major creative force during the formative years of the company in the 1980s, is back as the President. Also rejoining the ranks is Sandy Petersen. Who’s that? Oh, only the designer of Call of Cthulhu to gaming tables to begin with. So what do these two have in store for Chaosium?

The first issue is getting the Kickstarter backers their various items, both for Horror on the Orient Express and Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition. From there, they want to sort through any lingering company problems and get those sorted out. Then, it’s on to making awesome games and returning Chaosium to the glory days.

Talking about coming back to the company he founded, Greg said, “Chaosium is part of my legacy. My intent is to restore it to its rightful place in the world of gaming. Something we can all take pride in, and something that fans will look forward to.” As for Sandy, he said, “I am excited to return to active participation in the Call of Cthulhu line, and I’m eagerly looking forward to working directly with Greg again. We are Chaosium’s original team from the 1980s. My first focus is going to be the Call of Cthulhu 7th edition Kickstarter campaign.”
