Are you not entertained by your current gladiator-combat games? If that be the case, then you may want to take a look at Gladiator: Quest for the Rudis, a new gladiator combat card game from Nocturnal Media. The rules were designed by Jim Trunzo, who you may recognize from Title Bout Championship Boxing from Avalon Hill. So he certainly knows about making games in this sort of fighting-sports genre.
The game is designed for 2-4 players. Each player gets their own unique deck of cards based on the gladiator of choice. The game is designed to be quick-to-play, with you having to choose your attacks and defenses carefully, or risk becoming fatigued and leaving yourself open for that killing blow.
the main game comes with nearly 300 cards, but Nocturnal Media is really hoping to get through some stretch goals to build that up to as many as 600 cards for Kickstarter backers (many of them only will be available to said backers).
The campaign is running now and is set to do so for another 28 days.
