There are several great sci-fi series out there. One of those that’s been around the longest is Battlestar Galactica. There’s been a few games based on the series over the year, but a new one’s coming in the form of Battlestar Galactica Starship Battles. Gioconomicon sat down with the games’ designers for a quick chat to find out more about this upcoming minis game.

A space combat miniature game based on what is (in my opinion) the best TV sci-fi series ever has always been the unmentionable dream of any Battlestar Galactica fan. And now that Battlestar Galactica – Starship Battles has been revealed by ioGioco magazine, we can start to peek into the secrets of this awesome project, offering a gaming experience that fully reenact the spirit and specificity of true space combat.

Soon we will take a look at a game of Battlestar Galactica – Starship Battles, to discover what can actually turn the system “of Glory” (Wings of Glory, Sails of Glory) into a space simulation that will delight any rookie starfighter pilot. But for now we will have a chat with the designers, Andrea Angiolino (designer of the “of Glory” system), and Andrea Mainini (co-designer of Sail of Glory: they will give us a preliminary picture of what will mean to fly in a (almost) friction-free environment!
