Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game is set to be released in March 2023, according to an announcement made by Asmodee and Fantasy Flight Games. Fans of the iconic Star Wars franchise can enjoy a fast-paced tabletop game that brings the conflict between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance to life.
In the game, two players select a side to play, either as the Empire or the Rebels. Each player works to strengthen the power of their starting decks and destroy their opponent’s bases. The first player to destroy three bases of their opponent wins the game. With over 50 different cards to play, participants can take control of their favorite Star Wars characters, vehicles, and starships, each with thematic abilities.
Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game also introduces three unique mechanics that are new to the deckbuilding genre. The game includes bases instead of scoring points at the end of the game, bounty hunting or sabotage, and a balance of the Force track that adds an extra level of strategy to gameplay.
