So, it’s coming up to 8pm. Day 2 is definitely in the books for Gen Con 2016. It’s been a very busy day. I’m tired, but still pretty amped about everything that’s gone on. And I’m sure you all would like to know about some of it. There’s been about a billion things to see. So, relatively, here’s a rather small percentage. More will come tomorrow.
CoolMiniOrNot has more than just all their cool board games here at Gen Con. They also are showing off new releases for their minis games, Dark Age and Wrath of Kings.
Gale Force Nine has their big release for Star Trek Ascendency here at the show. You should check it out.
Secret Weapon Miniatures has their tablescape dungeon tiles here at the On the Lamb booth. Come see how they look.
Got in early to get photos of the display cases for Ninja Division – Soda Pop Miniatures. Was able to see the new Super Dungeon Explore stuff, as well as some Relic Knights.
Fantasy Flight Games loves to keep people coming back to their display case all weekend. They had some new stuff in there today. Take a look.
Steamforged Games is here at their first Gen Con. Their booth has constantly been packed with people. But I did get some shots of the new Guild Ball mascots, plus a little more,
I mean, a lot of things going on at Gen Con can be listed as weird. But specifically, these photos are of Wyrd Games things.
Mantic Games’ booth is compact, but also completely stuffed with their cool products. I grabbed some photos of their display cases as well as a demo of The Walking Dead (gonna try and actually sit down for a demo later).
USAopoly has a whole section devoted to running demos of the Harry Potter Deck-Building Game. Space is limited and they run out fast. Thankfully, Ross let me in to get som photos.
And just in case you think that there is no gaming going on at this gaming convention…
I was able to muscle my way up to a demo in progress for the Dark Souls board game at the Steamforged Games booth. It looked good. The boss is controlled by a deck of cards while the heroes are controlled by the players. The heroes lost while the boss had 1hp left!
Another big announcement coming out of Gen Con from CoolMiniOrNot. The team that brought you Blood Rage is back together with Rising Sun.
It is a spiritual successor to Blood Rage, so if you know the game, it will be a bit familiar. However, it is an entirely new gaming experience.
Coming to Kickstarter in 2017.
You were not put upon this Earth to “get it,” Mr. Burton!
But what you can get here is Legendary: Big Trouble in Little China,
Complete with the Pork Chop Express
Just finished up a great demo here at the Anvil Eight Games booth. Frontline No Komrades was hilarious and quick. Definitely stop by to try it out. I got me a copy.
We saw the New Warmachine warcasters yesterday. Today I found where the Hordes display case was and got some shots.
You know me and my love for giant robots. Seems this one should be right up my alley. Gotta stop back by and get a demo.
Hard to think that some of those photos I just took today. I swear some of those feel like I took them weeks ago. O,o
Ah well, another day tomorrow.
