Games Workshop posts a online teaser for Warhammer.
Teaser for what? I hope its a voice modulator so I can talk like that too. ooh maybe its a whole pack of voice modulators! Or is it terrain. Perhaps Vampire Counts?
It is indeed Vampire Counts. They’re getting a new book this month, and some spiffy-looking new models, too.
Oh, good, don’t do Bretonnians or Wood Elves. They don’t need an update rolls eyes
Believe me, I know 🙁
It will be interesting when both those armies come up for review, however. Especially if they stick to the ‘big’ unit that can be built two different ways.
As for the voice modulation, you don’t need a device to be able to talk like that. Just move to Nottingham for a few years 😉
I wasn’t very impressed by that voice really…
Hey, a teaser for WHFB, the one game of Games Workshop I mostly like and nobody around here is interested in it anymore.
Maybe it is time to raise their prices again? 😛
You got it. I sold my current WHFB rule book at Christmas, unused and never had a game of the current system – or seen one played at the club.
Or revert the game to 7th edition, when people enjoyed it.
New Mordheim game? ::crosses fingers::
Thats sorta what I’m thinking too. It certainly isn’t the Vampire Counts stuff, as those are coming next month, not in July. A new version of mordheim would explain all the new buildings they’re doing, big time.
Unless this is in Day-Month-Year format……
Beat me to it. Its likely UK format, Day-month-year. That threw me for a bit as well.
My thoughts as well, though do they usually release new products on a Saturday?
Yes, all GW releases have street dated on Saturdays for some time now.
Awe. I didn’t even think about that. Dammit.
Yeah, I had a stoopid-American moment there myself…
I hope so too. The terrain looks much more like Mordheim than Warhammer…
It can, in fact, be used for Mordheim!
Hey, I think it’s incredibly momentous that GW actually produced something using that newfangled “Internet technology”…
It’s the Vampire Counts book due out 1/14. There have been leaked pictures from the latest White Dwarf showing new models and stats for some of them since around mid-December. Nobody beats GW for being behind in their own self-promotion of product. Sheesh, teaser when I’ve already seen details on spells, unit stats, the Big Model, and so forth?
Scuttlebutt has it that GW signed a big secrecy clause as part of their new contract with new line for the hobbit stuff, limiting them to no more then a week preview on any products of any kind. I have not had it confirmed from GW, but it rings true with their sudden change from months of run up to new armies to a single week.
What will be the VC big model?
The terrorgeist / Zombie dragon is already out. There is also a big throne thingy, bell of lost souls spoiled it a week or so ago.
Yup. Its a kit that builds one of two equally (my vote on it still pending) models. They’re borne aloft by a swarm of ethereal skeletons/mounts/etc. Mortis Engine and something else. I want to like them for the sheer audacity of the concepts, but something’s lacking…
Of course, we’d have all been able to see it in White Dwarf, if they had bothered attempting to get it out this month. As it is, the magazine wasn’t even in my local GW store as of last night, so with 3 days to go, GW are releasing a product that no one “officially” (Warseer’s leaked images notwithstanding…) even knows exists! Wow! I bet they’ve generated a ton of preorders…NOT!
From what I’ve heard, WD is hitting stores this Saturday. The delay may have been caused by a major international event 😉
A teaser about nothing.
No doubt. But (for instance) Wargames Illustrated managed to get their magazine in the stores for Christmas Eve. Which made it a perfect purchase for me to peruse over the brussel sprouts.
Since my last comment, I heard the reason for the delay might have been because there were delays in getting photos of the Games Day model.
Or it was just flying monkeys. shrug
