Gamer Goggles will be headed to Gencon in a couple months and is running a Kickstarter to help fund some special coverage of the show.

Gamer Goggles

From the campaign:

I am proud to announce that our Kickstarter project is live! The project is all about what it means to attend a convention on a media level as well as an attendee. Which is really pretty loaded. But it is really so much more than those simple words. The project reflects who we are at Through Gamer Goggles.

Didn’t they attempt this last year too? Kickstarter has a policy against funding ‘life’ items, and I realize he’d use these loosely as a business tool, but it’s too close to, “hey! Help me buy some cool Google Glasses!”

Last one was Ben McFarland wanting a Google Glass, so shut-in nerds could see the con through his eyes. This one is just some guy wanting everyone to foot the bill so he can blog about it on his website. For twenty dollars, he’ll even say your name on a podcast!

If anyone is wanting to waste money on treating someone to GenCon, you should bring me. I’ll get you drunk, introduce you to any girls you like, run games for you and your friends, and be your tour guide around Indianapolis. It’ll be the best con of your life!

Not defending or supporting this campaign in any way, but this is a unfortunate coincidence only in name to that other campaign mentioned previously.

He already had an existing blog already called gamer’s goggles (with no relation to google glass), and is just looking to fund a trip to gencon for his regular video show.
