King Robert Baratheon is dead (no doubt killed by an inadequately stretched breast plate). And, to be honest, nobody really wants Joffre on the throne, honestly. At least, people are seeing the lack of strong king on the Iron Throne as an opportunity to put their own butt there. Such is the set-up for Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne, the new board game available from Fantasy Flight Games.
The game is a mix of the popular HBO series and the game Cosmic Encounter. Players will be in charge of one of the five great houses in the universe and must lie, cheat, steal, bribe, and murder your way to the Iron Throne (figuratively, that is, I mean, you'll just be playing a card game). Like musical chairs, there's only one person per seat, so either you get to sit on the Iron Throne or you die trying.
