We’ve arrived, beautiful readers. Friday is here and we’re making our way through it to the weekend. It won’t be long now and there’ll be a couple great days of just hanging out and maybe doing some gaming. I’m happy because my friend came back from LVO and brought me the new Season 3 cards and a couple players for Guild Ball. So I’ll be assembling Granite and Veteran Siren either tonight or tomorrow, with them hopefully seeing the pitch soon. Best to make sure I’m well-fed on some bite-sized gaming stories.
Today on the platter we have: AEG Announces Thunderstone Quest Coming To Kickstarter, Sacred Sword Chibi Minis Up On Kickstarter, Nuclear Shrimp Posts Black Earth Indiegogo Preview, Tabletop-Art Releases Ancestral Ruins banderoles and symbols, Apocalyptic Upgrades Sci-Fi Minis Up On Kickstarter, Chronicles: The Game Coming To Kickstarter Later This Year, MidKnight Heroes Super Chibi Round 2 – Reboot Pledge Manager Now Open, Trollkins Minis Up On Indiegogo, 28mm Greek/Macedonian Figures Up On Kickstarter, Simeon and His Buffalo Available From Golem Miniatures, and Soviet Passenger Trays Available From Dark Art Miniatures.
Thunderstone Quest is the third version of the best-selling deckbuilder designed by Mike Elliott. AEG will Kickstart Thunderstone Quest on February 21st. Before the Kickstarter launches, we need your help to defeat the Bandits of Blackrock and add a special mini-Quest to the rewards for all backers!
Sacred Sword is the world that our chibi miniature line belongs to. While the game and the world are not present in this project, it dictates our overall theme and feel. The Sacred Sword line will be a high fantasy world, with a distinctly classic RPG feel. Modeled heavily after your favorite classic JRPG games but with a lot of added character and flair. We hope to provide a compelling universe for both your favorite RPG engine or other games that you want to use these for.
The Sacred Sword miniature line is a roughly 30mm scale chibi miniature line. The average human figure will be about 30mm tall, cast in trollforged resin and unpainted.
We’ve teamed up with the great crew at Impact Miniatures to produce the best figures at an excellent price and to utilize their vast experience and improve our project as much as possible! I’ve had a look at a lot of their newest figures and the casting and such are tops! We’ll be carefully working with them to ensure every figure is cut well and casts as cleanly as possible.
Black Earth is a stand alone miniature wargame, with a brand new ruleset, a large collection of original miniatures and an entire fictional universe to back it up. The game is designed to simulate real time tactical combat between small armies. There are no turns in Black Earth – both players engage at all times. Apart from the narrative environment it brings to the tabletop, Black Earth is also designed to be a fully competitive game fit for organised and tournament play.
The Ancestral Ruins banderoles and symbols can be used to decorate terrains or bases. The symbols can also be used as markers.
Not-So-Bored Games brings you “Apocalyptic Upgrades: Viral Outbreak”, a themed collection of 28mm miniatures. These could be used for a number of things, like your own board game prototype, simply to paint and display or to replace wooden pawns found in some of your favorite games like Pandemic or Forbidden Island.
Chronicles: The Game is a new fantasy, miniature strategy game developed by Happy Gorilla Game Studios. We are currently in a closed beta and hoping to go to Kickstarter this year!
Chronicles is based in the new, fantasy world of Indagar. Our WIKI contains hundreds of pages of lore as well as free, searchable set of rules.
Chronicles has its own line of 32mm miniatures, all of which are visible on our Website, and we’re looking to launch the Kickstarter with 3 of the current 7 Factions.
Chronicles has a unique set of game rules, a custom d10 combat system, command tokens, magic, and a truly inventive form of combat known as the dynamic unit formation (DUF).
We are currently in closed beta and accepting beta applications on our website.
That’s right we now have our pledge manager open for all backers and for those who did not back. If you did not back and still want to be a part of this round, just head over to the the MKH store and add the items to your cart. Once you check out you will be good to go. If you chose to pledge at the Super Chibi Round 2 Reboot level you will receive our first origins eBook via email later that day. Now, the miniatures are still about 4 to 6 weeks out, but this will allow us to get the final numbers we need for the caster. Things are looking good for MidKnight Heroes, thank you for all your support. Also, If you have not seen the Jaxx metal master take a look and tell us what you think. Hope to have the Takata master soon.
Take care and thank you for your support, without you, we could not be doing this.
Crowdfunding for casting in resin a few miniatures. Simple, fast, but possibly the first step for something bigger and better.
Your pledges will accelerate the development and release of a range of 28mm white metal figures depicting Ancient Greeks.
Most of the miniatures are already sculpted and just need trimming and putting into production molds That’s why I will start with a low goal of £200.
We have a variety of Head variations planned Athenian, Corinthian [crested and tall crested], bare headed, Boeotian and Cretan.
Two new miniatures are now available in the “Medieval” range:
Simeon the pilgrim and his “little” pet.
The sculpture is the work of Brice Savina and the painting of Mathieu Néhémie.
These miniatures are exceptionally for sale at a price of 12 euros all the month of February! 🙂
Designed for 15mm gaming. Now you will know which teams are in each transport when you charge into battle. Perfect for your Soviet hordes.
