Eye for an Eye launches on Kickstarter April 24th

"Downtime" is a term in gaming that refers to when a player has little to nothing to do. It's your opponent's turn and you just kinda gotta sit there while they make their decisions and play their cards and roll their dice. Too much downtime and you can find yourself getting up to go get a cheese sandwich. Well, in Eye for an Eye, a new board game coming from Darwin Games, there's no downtime at all! It's always your turn! It's also always your opponent's turn, so you've gotta be quick and make your decisions right away. The game is coming to Kickstarter next week.

We are very excited to announce the launch date for our upcoming realtime battle royale style game 'Eye for an Eye' on April 24th 11pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time)

Eye for an Eye is a gladiator-like skirmish game played in an arena marked with hexes. Players control one character (usually an Occulite Tribal Chief) trying to settle a dispute with another tribe or tribes (the other players).

Unlike other skirmish games, Eye for an Eye is played in real time with a soundtrack timing the action. So there are no turns and players can call out and resolve actions whenever they want to trigger them.

Actions are powered by allocating dice to different spaces on the player's board and tribal cards. Each character has its own set of skills and restrictions on dice placement. It is likely that you will quickly form a bond with your favourite.

Play a single round in five minutes, or an entire tournement in one hour!

NO TURNS.
NO DOWNTIME.
NO MERCY!

All our artwork is by The Mico, Bob Olley has sculpted our figures and we are partnering with Listening Earth to create the soundtrack.

Eye for an Eye will not contain anything exclusive to Kickstarter as we would like everyone to have access to all parts of the game, not matter when they pick it up. However it will be launching with a decent discount to MSRP$ and each backer will help us add things to the game that we could not afford to include otherwise. Through stretch goals, we hope to be able to double the character roster from 6 to 12 for no extra cost, as well as many other component and gameplay upgrades.
