Moon Crab Games has launched a new board game called Leviathan Wilds on Kickstarter, which has already surpassed its goal of US$10,000 with a current pledge of US$47,820, as of May 9th. With 923 backers, this thrilling solo and co-op game promises to take players on an adventure to save massive creatures while facing challenging battles.
The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where leviathans, massive creatures that once lived in harmony with humans, have lost their minds and are wreaking havoc. In an effort to save these creatures, players must climb, jump, and glide through each of the 15 unique leviathans, each with its own map and special rules. The game uses a spiral-bound scenario book to guide players through each battle and challenge.
Leviathan Wilds offers a unique gameplay experience where players build their decks by shuffling cards from one unique character and one unique class, providing 49 combinations to discover. Players then traverse each leviathan’s unique map, dodging attacks and leaping over treacherous gaps while trying to shatter the binding crystals to heal the leviathan and win the game.
The game features stunning illustrations and is designed for players aged 14 and above. The game can be played solo or with up to four players, making it perfect for both solo play and group play with friends and family.
