There are many ways that vampire myths could have gotten started. Among the many folk-tales and questionable science, you’ll find real-life historical figures like Vlad Tepes. While stories about his exploits could very well have been embellished, it’s pretty certain he was a rather macabre dude. In Dracula’s Final Stand: Forest of the Impaled, 6 Muslim armies are looking to crush Vlad and his Christian forces. Which group will be victorious? That’s up to you to decide. The game is up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
Forest of the Impaled is a Cooperative Board Game where up to 6 Muslim players invade and attempt to conquer Romania. Heavily outnumbered, the Dracula player fights with his Christian army to defend his country and survive.
It is loosely based on the historical campaign of Vlad ‘Dracula’ Tepes in 1462.
This is a game that both serious, strategic players and casual, social gamers can enjoy TOGETHER.
To defeat Dracula, the Muslim players must cooperate closely as a team BUT they can ONLY communicate IF their HQs are in the same area. This results in hysterical fun. Miscommunication and confusion reign as Dracula picks off his enemies in detail.
This game makes a good 2 player strategy game but is incredible with more players.
The game is already over its funding goal with still 21 days on the clock.
