Diceni 2015 Coming Next Month

Diceni will be invading Norfolk on May 3rd. The show combines gaming, cosplaying, and larp, in one place, creating an environment for fun, gaming, geekiness. It's a family-friendly show, so be sure to bring your significant others and maybe kids along. The show's free to attend, so why not stop on by?

From the announcement:

Diceni is a gaming show held in Norwich, UK at the spectacular Forum in the centre of the city.

Now in its third year, Diceni is aiming to go up a gear in 2015, with a bigger and better show.

The show aims to show the general public the best of Gaming, LAARP and Cosplay all in one friendly place. Free entry on the day means that absolutely anyone can wander in and learn more.

Outside the venue this year the Norwich & Norfolk Medieval Association will be putting on live performances.

Inside, there will be displays and performances from various groups, but in terms of miniature gaming, visitors can see:

Wars of the Roses (Aftermath Gaming club, Hail Caesar Rules)

Early WW2 (Aftermath Gaming Club, Bolt Action)

The show's name is a blend of the words dice and Iceni, a nod to the gaming hobby and the fact that the show takes place in Norfolk, the heart of the homeland of Boudicca's Iceni tribe.

Each year there is an official Bouddica Miniature, which is currently being sculptured by Kev White of Hassfree Miniatures. This years “Boudi” is all geared up for some Steampunk action!

The miniature is exclusive to the show and can be purchased on the day, so grab it while you can.

The show is also supported by official artwork by Matt Dixon and again this can be bought on the day.

Diceni will take place on 3rd May 2015 at the Forum in Norwich. Travel to Norwich is easy by rail, and now road, with the complete dualling of the A11 into Norfolk!

So if you can get along to support the show then please do. Norfolk has lacked a great gaming show and Diceni aims to put that right, and with your support can grow in size each year!
