Custom Game Lab has a Kickstarter campaign up and running for Custom Game Dice.
Need some specialized dice for your game? Want them for some sort of event? They’ve got you covered.

From the campaign:

Help us provide the gaming community with customized 16mm (standard size) D6 dice – with more colors, shapes, and sizes available when we reach higher funding levels!

Right now, if you want to make custom dice for a game prototype, print-n-play game, or just to customize your old Yahtzee! game, it’ll cost you several dollars per die – before shipping.

We see a way to provide the same quality engraved custom dice at a fraction of the cost. But we can’t do it without your help, we need funds to purchase the necessary supplies and equipment (primarily meaning thousands of dice and a Trotec laser engraver)!

Hey! Just wanted to drop in and say thanks for the mention here! I appreciate any help spreading the word about my campaign.

Obviously, I’m a little biased, but I’ve gotten such an overwhelmingly positive response to this project that I believe this is something the whole tabletop community will benefit from.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or feedback!

For 12-25 dice with a single custom face, in the UK, I don’t see this as a much cheaper alternative.

However, if you offer more sizes/colours/infill colours of blank dice, more engraved faces, or allow smaller numbers of dice to be purchased, then this would definitely be interesting!

It IS for 6 faces, though. Right? It’s much cheaper than either Chessex or Q-Workshop (who are the only firms I’m familiar with that do orders that small) if you take that into account.

And while it’s true that the dice colors are limited, they already offer more options for the fill color than Chessex does.

Like Nightbee pointed out, these prices are for ALL 6 faces being engraved on the dice. So basically, I’ve got a similar price for 6 sides customized to what would normally be expected for 1 side engraved. Also, there’s no minimum order size – you can order 1 custom die if you want (though I don’t know if it would make sense to do that shipping to the UK) or if you order a dozen they can be 12 unique designs.

As far as other options go, once we hit our base goal (today maybe?), we’ll start pushing toward stretch goals to unlock more options, and already have been unlocking more fill color options through social media goals. And plan to continue opening as many options as we can even after the KS is over. I want these dice to be as completely customizable as possible.

We’ll also eventually be offering polyhedrals for customization, but that’s probably not going to make it into this project so I can focus on getting as solid a base of D6 as possible.

      Hope that helps!
