You ever have one of those jobs where your boss is super-crazy, but you really don't want to lose your job, so you keep praising whatever ridiculous thing they say in order to stay there? Well, what if your boss is the leader of a country and you've gotta keep them happy, lest you meet with an... uh... early retirement? That's the idea behind Dear Leader, a new party card game about making your crazy leader as happy as possible, even as they spout utter nonsense.
In the game, a player takes on the role of Kim Jong-un. At the start of a round, a Policy Card is drawn and read aloud. Then, each player takes turn coming up with a solution to the problem placed by the card. Each one must be different. Then, it's Kim's turn to say his plan (which is obviously going to be the best). The other players then praise Kim for his idea, adding their own spins on it. At the end of the round, the Policy Card is given to the player that pleases the Leader the most. That player then becomes the Leader and a new round begins.
The Kickstarter campaign's around 3/4 of the way to funding with still 25 days left to go.
