On the 17th, we'll be having the next session of the D&D group that I'm running. Nobody died last session (character or player, thankfully), but it did get kinda nasty for a while. I'm a big proponent of using miniatures for our gaming sessions, but I'm always a little bummed when I don't have exactly the miniature I'd need for a particular encounter. That's why I'm always happy to see that new minis sets are coming out. And while they won't be out for the December session, the Icons of the Realms: Monster Menagerie II set might be out in time for our January game.
There's going to be 44 new minis in the set, including an Androsphinx, a Beholder, and an Iron Golem. Along with those, they'll have pieces of Esmerelda's Campsite, as you can see above. Those are handy for creating the scene of those nightly camps without just drawing some circles on a gridded map.
As I mentioned, the set will be out in January.
