Everybody wants to rule the world. Or so Tears For Fears told us. I don't know if I want to rule the world, but being in charge of a major metropolitan area might not be so bad. Though I'm not exactly sure I'll get elected to public office, I have to live such dreams vicariously through games. One such game would be Quadropolis from Days of Wonder.
In the game, players take on the role of a major of a modern city. As a public servant, you must have the needs of your constituents in mind at all times. Build your city, responding to the needs and wants of the citizens. Build grand public buildings and attract more population, beating out your opponent's cities for prestige.
The game seats from 2-4 players and plays in about 30-60 minutes. You can expect to see it on store shelves in Europe in March and in the US in April. The retail price will be $50/€45.
