Shawn at Ambush Alley Games passes along word that Dave Howitt of Britannia Miniatures has suffered a heart-attack.

From their announcement:

Jenny Howitt, daughter of Dave Howitt of Britania Miniatures, left a message on the Guild Forum advising customers of her father’s ill health – I quote her message here:

“My name is Jenny Howitt, Dave Howitt’s of Britannia Miniatures daughter, I’ve just registered to convey some unfortunate news.

I’m afraid to say my Dad had a massive heart attack on Monday and is very ill in hospital.

As a result of this Britannia will cease trading for a few weeks. If anybody has ordered I can assure you that all orders will be filled in due course.

Dad is very positive and in good spirits, thanks in advance for your understanding”

Please join me in wishing Dave a quick and full recovery.

– Shawn.

I don’t know Dave personally but all the best wishes for him and his family. It’s a hard path back from that, I’m glad he made it past the first post… The missus’s dad passed away on April Fools’ Day from the same thing while we were there visiting so I know how badly shaken up his folks will be right now, it’s not a pleasant thing to happen whatever the outcome 🙁

We have dealt with Dave on occasions with the Modern Afghan War US Marines, British Paras and Afghan Militia through our painting studio Battle Colours.
    Fantastic person and team.
Take a back seat Dave and get well real soon.
