As you've seen me mention a lot recently, the digital and tabletop worlds are melding and sharing more now than ever. Such is the case with this bit of news. Darkmoor RPG is up on Kickstarter. Ok, so that' might not make it seem so evident why that has to deal with digital stuff. Well, that's because Darkmoor is based on the Blackmoor and Maximus mobile games.
Darkmoor takes the quirks of a digital RPG and brings them to the tabletop. PCs will commonly chat with one-another about their level. Monsters are pinatas filled with treasure. You know someone's been poisoned because of the green skulls floating around them. It's all very tongue-in-cheek, so if you're into that sort of thing, give it a look.
The rules are also pretty flexible on character-building, as you can even make up your character race almost from scratch. If you want a bit of absurdity brought into your tabletop games, this might be the setting for you.
The campaign is up now and is set to run for another 29 days.
