CoolMiniOrNot and Guillotine Games are teaming up to take you underground in Massive Darkness, a new dungeon crawl board game that will be coming to Kickstarter soon. The game takes the classic theme of a dungeon crawl, but modernizes it, using the popular Zombicide game engine as its starting point. But don’t think this is just Zombicide in a dungeon. It’s much more immersive for your characters as you play.
In the game, players pick a character, who will already have a couple starting skills, and pairs that up with a class. This will also possibly give you more skills, but it will also set them on a path to more skill that they’ll unlock as they kill monsters and grab xp… and loot, of course. But be careful, the monsters aren’t stupid. They’re more than capable of using that cool loot as well. You’ll have to take it from their cold, dead hands. But that’s what adventuring’s all about, right? Right!
As you have come to expect from CoolMiniOrNot and Guillotine Games, you can expect Massive Darkness to come with loads of awesome figures. As I mentioned above, it’s coming to Kickstarter in a couple months (we’ll obviously let you know when an exact date is announced), and we can expect a lot more information between now and then (plus whatever surprises I’m sure are in store for during the Kickstarter campaign).
