Do you like territory-acquisition games? How about dice games? What about games with research tech trees? Do you like resource-acquisition games? If you answered "Yes!" to these questions, then you might just want to check out Commanders, a new tactical strategy game from RedCricket Designs. They're up on Kickstarter now and looking for funding.
In Commanders, you are trying to grow your territory in order to gain the resources required to upgrade your tech, which allows you to defeat the enemy and gain more territory. Commanders looks to "fix" a lot of the issues that sometimes crop up on such games. Don't like it when people form unofficial alliances to gang up on another player? Well, there are official alliance cards you can use to hopefully create your own beneficial alliance. Hate when a player gets taken out early and then just has to sit there and watch? Commanders has several ways for players to join back into the game. Plus, if a player is totally eliminated, that signals the game's end. Tally up who has captured the most enemy soldiers and see who wins.
The campaign just launched and is set to go for another 28 days.
