I enjoy Gin Rummy and other Rummy-family games. They're a great way to spend some time if you want a little bit lighter in terms of a card game. But what if you want a little more interaction between players? Maybe a little bit of War mixed in with your Rummy? That's where Clash of the Cards comes in. It's a new light strategy card game that's up on Kickstarter now.
In the game, players are looking to collect "armies," which is a set of four similar cards. To do this, players will play a card in to the center. Other players, if they have one of those cards, must play it into the center as well. That's the prize pile. Then, players pick a card from their hand in order to fight. Players simultaneous flip this card and the one with the highest number wins the prize cards. There are also special cards you can play as well that will guarantee a win, or protect your cards from being captured, or make opponents have to collect extra armies in order to win the hand. It's a classic-style game with some new elements added in.
The campaign is already over their funding goal, so it's 22 days left to go.
