Monday Terrain Corner

Man, this weekend just flew by. I always kinda hope the work week does, but not so much the weekend. I like those to stick around for a bit. New Pledge Level and Bonuses Added To Blackwater Gulch Kickstarter

The folks over at Gangfight Games are chugging along with their newest Blackwater Gulch Kickstarter campaign. This new expansion looks to bring you a bunch of new figures, and they know that some of you might just want it all. So they’ve created a new pledge level that gives you just that. They’re also showing off new renders for Tiny, the Ogre Lawman. If anyone’s going to be able to wield an old-west-style Gatling gun, it’d be an Ogre.

A new posse is making its way to the dusty and outlaw-filled streets of the old West. They’re like nothing that your standard cow-poke has ever seen before. They’re the Viridian Clade, and if you want to be the fasted gun in the West and have yours before anyone else, you’ll want to get your name down on the list. Pre-orders are available now.

Blackwater Gulch: Minions & Monsters Up On Kickstarter

The folks over at Blackwater Gulch are looking to expand the ranch once again. They’ve launched a Kickstarter campaign for their Minions and Monsters expansion. It’s full of miniatures for all types of posses. You’ve got lawmen. You’ve got outlaws. You’ve got monsters (seems fitting, since it’s in the name there). You can go check it out and pledge now.

Blackwater Gulch 2nd Edition Now Available

As you know, I love when a Kickstarter campaign is successful and then goes to regular retail sale. This is one of those posts. Gangfight Games had their Kickstarter to bring you a new edition of Blackwater Gulch. Now that the backers have their products, you can go in and get yours. There’s the new rulebook and cards, as well as a bunch of faction starter boxes to get you going, pardner.

Monday Terrain Corner

Well, it’s back to the old grindstone. But we’ll always have the memories of the weekend that just went by. I hope you got some gaming in. I did. I tried out Photosynthesis, as well as taught Guild Ball to a friend. It was a good time had by all. But now the focus is on next weekend, and whatever cool games I’ll be playing then. They might require terrain. And, if they do, I want it to look good. So, without further ado…

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Wild West Exodus Previews New Terrain, Fantasy Flight Games Releases Playmat For Twilight Imperium, New Dunes Planet Space Gaming Mat Available From Deep-Cut Studio, and New Plastic Box Sets Available From Tabletop-Art.

Gangfight Games Posts New Blackwater Gulch Preview

Gangfight Games is gearing up for a new Kickstarter campaign for Blackwater Gulch. They’ve posted up some artwork so you can be excited about it. And, I mean, one of the new figures they’ll be looking to make is a weregator. So they’ve got my attention there. But that’s not the only strange thing they’re working on.

Friday Snippets

I’ve almost run out of Thanksgiving leftovers. I still have some turkey and some sweet potato casserole, along with just a touch of one pumpkin pie left. BTW: the sweet potatoes still being around are a case of “Save the best for last.” Not to sound haughty, but trying some of it, with a bit of my homemade salted caramel literally had one guest weeping tears of joy. I have witnesses! We’re also snacking on some bite-sized gaming stories. Pretty quick one for you today.

On the platter we have: Atlantis Miniatures: Mythology Busting Through Stretch Goals, Greebo Previews Exclusive Christmas Miniature, and Gunfighter’s Ball Kickstarter Update.

Knuckleduster Miniatures Launches Gunfighter’s Ball Miniatures Game Kickstarter

Yeehaw, pardner! Mount up, men! We’ll head ’em off at the pass! Come on out with your six-guns a-shootin’ and a-blazin’! Unhand that rancher’s daughter! Tear up that mortgage! Cattle… lariats? … Anyone for tennis? Anyway, Wild West cliche sayings aside, Knuckleduster Miniatures has launched their Kickstarter campaign for their new miniatures skirmish game, Gunfighter’s Ball.

No Country For Great Old Ones RPG Adventure Up On Kickstarter

Most of the time, when you’re playing through an adventure, you just see it from the one side. You’re the heroes cleaning out the cave full of kobolds. A couple RPGs let you play as the Kobolds looking to defend their home from the heroes. No Country for Great Old Ones lets you do both in a single packet. This neo-western adventure for the multiple systems lets you play as both the cops going after bank robbers, as well as the bank robbers (or, with a large group and a good GM, both at once). The adventure is up on Kickstarter now.

Galakta Games Posts Rulebook for Wanted: Rich or Dead Online

Longtime readers know I love it when a company posts a rulebook for their games online. You can check out the rules and see if the game’s for you. Also, having electronic versions of the book can really come in handy. In this case, the game is Wanted: Rich or Dead, an old-western shootout game for 2-5 players from Galakta Games.

Knuckleduster Posts Free Gunfighter’s Ball Rules

We all know my love of “try before you buy.” Being an informed consumer is very important in this day and age. I also think it shows a company feels they’ve got a quality product. “Look, we’ll let you try it for free and we know you’ll come back for more.” That’s what Knuckleduster is doing with their Gunfighter’s Ball rules. They’ve posted up the starter rules for the game that they’ll be putting on Kickstarter next month, giving you a chance to check them out early.

The wild west is getting even wilder. Doomtown: Reloaded is getting itself a new expansion. Western The RPG Up On Kickstarter Now

Sure, my friend Henrix can speak and read Swedish, but despite what he’s tried to teach me, I haven’t quite gotten it down yet. In the meantime, I still need English versions of games. And that’s why I’m thankful that Åskfågeln (however that’s pronounced) is bringing Western, their award-winning RPG, to an English audience. The game is up on Kickstarter now.

New Releases Available From Knuckleduster Miniatures

Mount up, men! We’ll head ’em off at the pass!
Sure, it’s cliche, but it makes more sense than, “Anybody got any dimes!?” in context.
But whatever line you want to use, it puts me in the mood for some old-fashioned wild west shootout action. And Knuckleduster Miniatures is here to serve with a set of new releases, including a whole new faction.

Updated Wild West Exodus Rules Posted

Mount up, men! We’ll head them off at the pass!
The Old West is a rather iconic time. Gunslingers on the streets of cities like Durango and Dodge. Banditos down in Texas. Saloons. Cowboy hats. Now, a new miniatures game looks to bring the spirit of that time to your tabletops. It’s called Tombstone and it’s up on Kickstarter now.

Monday Terrain Corner

Ok, so I didn’t go to Adepticon, and that’s sad. However, it’s Monday morning and I’ve got no “convention hangover” and no long-ass drive/flight home and no Con Crud to worry about. So, it has its upsides as well. It would seem that much of my Friend’s list isn’t so lucky. But while they down extra pots of coffee to stay awake or extra gallons of orange juice to cure themselves, they can check out ways to make their gaming tables look great.

Today in the terrain corner we have: New Infinity Inc Battle Mat From Warzone Studio, City Ruins Gaming Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, Deep-Cut Studio releases Wild West themed game mat, and New British Defenses from Sally 4th.

Monday Terrain Corner

It’s President’s Day here in the US and we’ve got the day off here at TGN Industries. So why am I making posts? Because the news doesn’t stop, and with all the announcements that’ve come in from various places, especially what’s going on in New York this past weekend, I can’t really afford to just sit on all that for an extra day.

Anyway, over the weekend I did get in most of a game of Guild Ball as I’d hoped. The game was called on account of lunch, unfortunately. But waddyagonnado? Well, download Vassal and maybe play some games online. But that’s beside the point.

As for right now, let’s get your gaming tables looking good.

In the Terrain Corner today we have: Heroic Maps Discover: Hollowild Gorge & Caves Map Now Available, Brigade Models Release Harbour defenses, Time Warp Printable Scenery Up On Kickstarter, Woodland: Pwork Wargames Gaming Mat Now Available, and Heroic Maps Foxtail Hills: Goblin Caves Available Now.

Friday Snippets

The weekend is pretty much upon us. We just need to finish up this afternoon and we’ll be there. Do you have plans? I’m still unsure. Though I think I want to make a cheesecake, because it’s been a while since I’ve made cheesecake. Probably make more strawberry-lime sauce to go with it. Or maybe I’ll do raspberry-lime. I don’t know. But there’s still time to think about it. In the meantime, we gotta fill up on some bite-size gaming stories.

On the platter today we have: West Wind Productions Announces Panzer Mech Kickstarter, Ninja Division Announces Relic Knights 2nd Edition Kickstarter, Wiley Games New Home Of Fistful of Lead, New Animal Explorers From RN Estudio, Khurasan releases M1152 with canvas cover, New Releases From Hitech Miniatures, New Release from Kromlech, and Rectangular Bases on Sale From Micro Art Studio.

Monday Terrain Corner

The weekend is over. It’s back to the office. But, hopefully, you got some gaming in over the past couple days. Me? I played some Guild Ball (Masons beat the Morticians) and then some Dogs of War (my favorite game that CMON makes). I also got to watch a game of On Her Majesty’s Service. They already had 4 for the game, so I was just a spectator, but that game looks pretty cool.

But that’s as may be. Currently, we’re here to make your gaming tables look as good as possible. So, with that in mind…

Today we have: Maki Games Launches Modular Underground Project Kickstarter, Badlands Terrain returning soon to Gale Force Nine, Heroic Maps – Sowthistle Farm, Badlands: Pwork Wargames Gaming Mat Now Available, New From Skull Forge Scenics: Resin Graveyard Entrance, New Terrain and Miniatures at Armorcast, and Terra-City One Dual Carriagway Sections Available From Sally 4th.

Gen Con Day 4 Photos

Well, it’s getting to be bedtime. Gotta get to sleep so I can make the epic migration back to the sauna that is Atlanta in August. I’m going to miss Gen Con. This was a good year. Despite the fact that I didn’t get really much of a chance to hang out with too many people (Gen Con, if nothing else, is hundreds of “we’ll hang out later” comments said in passing that, sadly, never get to actually happen), it was still a pretty good show. Lots of things to see. Lots of big announcements. And lots of photos. My phone says I’ve taken over 1,600 in the past several days, a good portion of which have been posted here for you. Speaking of which, here’s the last galleries from the show.

Gangfight Games Posts New Blackwater Gulch Previews

Gangfight Games is one of the many companies out at Origins this weekend. But you don’t have to be right at the show in order to see some of the cool things they’re working on. No, they’ve shown off some new preview artwork that I’m more than happy to share with you here.

Greenbrier Games Taking Pre-Orders for Grimslingers

The American West has all sorts of legends and lore associated with it. It’s a time and place set apart from others, and it’s a setting that’s ripe for use in gaming. It’s also very easy to meld into your own thing. Well, Greenbrier Games has done that, giving us a steampunk-weird West-magical sort of place for Grimslingers, a new card game they’re taking orders for now.
