Thursday Terrain Corner

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday... never could get a handle on Thursdays. I certainly enjoy them, as it means we're getting close to the weekend, but we're obviously not quite there yet. So, it's like, "Woo! Almost-weekend-eve!" Ah well, we'll get there in time. But before then, we need to make your gaming tables look good.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Final Days for Kongo Afrika Kickstarter and Deep-Cut Studio launches unique service to make game mats with hexes or grids.

Friday Snippets

We're standing (well, I'm sitting) at the threshold to the weekend. With any luck, yours will be filled with all manner of gaming. I've yet to fully decide what I'll be up to. But that's sometimes half the fun. But whatever I end up doing, I should fuel up on bite-sized gaming stories. Good thing that's what we've got here.

Today on the platter we have: SnapDice: Magnetic Dice Tray Up On Kickstarter, Chaos Books of Damnation Available From Kromlech, and Sally 4th Running Classic Movie Miniatures Kickstarter.

Space 1889: Venus Sourcebook Now Available From Modiphius

In the real world, Venus is a hellish planet. Rivers of iron. Clouds of sulfuric acid. Incinerating heat. It's not a place you'd want to walk around on. However, the Venus in the Space 1889 universe is a bit more hospitable to life. And if you'd like to go there, Modiphius has released a whole sourcebook for our sister planet. It's available now in both print and pdf versions.

Friday Snippets

Would you believe the year is half-over already? Yeah. As we stand on the cusp of July, the first half of the year is behind us. Is it going by fast for you, too? It certainly has for me. Personally, I'm ready for autumn, because it's my favorite time of year. Plus, I want to make pumpkin pie, and if I tried to serve that now, people would be all, "... no." Ah well. Since I can't munch on pumpkin pie, I can still munch on some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: New 15mm BMP-1P from Khurasan, New releases from Terrible Kids Stuff - July 2017, Legionary Saber Jetbike Available From Kromlech, Hand of Glory Miniatures Coming to Kickstarter Next Month, Brigade Models Release 6mm Neo-Soviet Tanks, and Cold War Miniatures Launches Hawkmen Kickstarter.

Friday Snippets

It's that time again, everyone. Friday. The gateway to the weekend. I'm sure a lot of you are going to be heading out to the LGS to try the new edition of 40k. I'm hoping to just hang out with some friends and keep things chill. I saw some games of 8th Edition last week via a preview copy my LGS had. People were really excited about it. It's looking like a good system. But if you're going to be at the LGS all day, gaming it up, hardcore, you need to have plenty of energy. Best to fill up on some bite-sized gaming stories.

Today on the platter we have: Hawkmen Prepare for Kickstarter Launch, Kromlech Weekend Promo Sale, Sloppy Jalopy T62 Available Now From Sally 4th, Devil Forge Miniatures Release Odo Grumblebelly, and The Raider Vs the Unnameable In Alien Invasion Kickstarter.

The Goon, Savage Worlds, Up On Kickstarter

It's always cool when a bit of pop culture gets its own gaming rules. You have enjoyed watching/reading about the various characters and the world they inhabit, and now you feel like you're able to join them in their adventures. As such, folks that are fans of The Goon comic will love to hear that the dark, pulp universe is getting a set of rules to go with it. And they're ones you know, too, as it's coming to Savage Worlds. The book is up on Kickstarter now.

Thursday Terrain Corner

The week continues to just crawl on by. Man, I've not felt a week has taken this long for quite a while. I feel like I should be typing up the Friday Snippets instead of the Thursday Terrain Corner. But here we are. What do you suppose the chances are that the weekend will be like that? Where Saturday afternoon I'll be going, "Geeze! Isn't it supposed to be Monday by now!?" Probably very low. But, in the meantime, let's make your gaming tables look as good as possible.

Today in the Terrain Corner we have: Battlefront Features Battlefield in a Box: Small Desert Houses, Robot City Obelisks Available From Frontline Gaming, Obelisk and Amphora sets Available From Tabletop-Art, Battlefront Features Battlefield in a Box: Desert Walls, Battlefield Game Mat Available From Pwork Wargame, New Arabian Terrain From Najewitz Modellbau, and New Exotic Locations Terrain From Sally 4th.

The Revenge of the Robots of Doom Pulp Adventure Up On Kickstarter

You know, if you're going to have a pulp-style adventure, you should name it like one. And The Revenge of the Robots of Doom is certainly everything I'd expect from a pulp-style adventure. It would seem as though I keep saying that 2016 was the Year of New Editions, 2017 is looking to be one as well. The Revenge of the Robots of Doom was originally published in the main rulebook for Pulp Adventures (second edition), but it's being updated and is up on Kickstarter now.

Thursday Terrain Corner

So the middle of yesterday sort of dragged along, but overall the week is still going by in a flash (for me, at least). Hopefully you have weekend plans like I do. We're going to be having a build party for my friend's original Kingdom Death set. Though, really, I'm gonna be trying to get people to play Guild Ball, instead, since I didn't get a chance last week like I was gonna have. :P

But in the meantime, we need to make your gaming tables look as good as possible.

In the Terrain Corner today we have: Frontline Games 20% OFF Holiday Sale Plus Special Deals, Dungeon Worlds Part 3 Kickstarter Stretch Goal #2 Posted, New Micro Art Studio battlefield terrain, Deep-Cut Studio releases a new game mat for Dropzone Commander, GAMEIN5D Foldable Game Board On Kickstarter, Deadland: Pwork Wargames Gaming Mat Now Available, Final Hours For Exotic Locations Indiegogo Campaign, Heroic Maps Whitlark Forest Trading Post Now Available, and New Tyranid Hive Planet Mat From Warzone Studio.

City of Mist RPG Up On Kickstarter

In a dark, modern city, nothing is quite as it seems. You go about your everyday, ordinary life feeling that things are just "off." Things that seem like coincidences follow a nonsense pattern. You feel as though you're destined for much more than just the "wake up, work, come home, sleep" routine you've been stuck in. You feel something stirring in you (besides the leftover take-out you probably should've thrown away). Something... mythical. Will you embrace this new power, or will you fight against it, even as the city seems to be fighting to keep you boring and ordinary? That's the story behind City of Mist, a new RPG that's up on Kickstarter.

The days have circled around again and we find ourselves deposited in a Monday. I hope you had a good weekend. I spent Saturday playing Small World and Ascension with some friends. But that's as may be. It's time to make sure your gaming tables look as good as possible.

Thursday Terrain Corner

Well, it's Thursday and that means a couple things. 1) I'm in my Thursday shirt. 2) The weekend's just over a day away. 3) We've gotta make sure that your gaming tables look as good as they possibly can. As the first one is already in play and the second we can't really do much about (unless you happen to have a time machine handy), let's take care of that third one.

In the Terrain Corner today we have: Mobilescape Adventures Tabletop RPG Terrain Up On Kickstarter, Modular Underground Project Now Offering Pre-Painted Terrain, Crossover Miniatures Running Massive Zeppelin Terrain Kickstarter, Deep-Cut Studio releases specialised game mats for Malifaux, Castle II Kickstarter from Miniature Building Authority Running Now, and Outlander: Pwork Wargames Gaming Mat Now Available.
