    Yes please!

Really surprised this didn’t get anyone’s attention.
This thing is 20 inches long with a 16 inch wingspan. …and $160.

Yeah, but what is the utility of it? It is a Thunderhawk. So you basically have to play Space Marines and play Apocalypse to get any use out of it. Or just be thrilled to paint it as a modeller. I already posted in another topic on how next to nobody plays Apocalypse, even though lots of people spent tons of money on the theory that they would play it. This would just be $160 added to their closet space. Maybe they learned their lesson?

A sweet deal is only a sweet deal if the product is of some use.

Funny that like 2 days after you said this, GW sends out an e-mail about relaunching apocalypse with new releases and stuff.
Though I do think that particular ship has already sailed. Like I said below, GW games were not necessarily my first thought of how to use one of these.

Lol! I saw that. Well, it certainly is better for the people making this product. I’ll keep the opinions of GW’s newest whorish attempt at wringing its dwindling fanbase to myself, but for those who survive off of GW, like this company, it certainly is a windfall.

I could see it used for a different sci fi game as well, but its best use, as you mention, is probably as terrain. In that regard, I’d certainly rather buy this than the forge world product.

    • Hehe – besides the points KelRiever made – you make it sound like size matters above all. All bad puns aside, quality matters all the more at that size as judging from some of the pictures the details are absolute shit if you are looking at it as a modeller. It’s not even a good scratch base as you are better off doing it all from scratch at this price point. As a gaming piece it might have some merits, but I wouldn’t know anything about that.

If you buy it and build I would love to see a WIP from start to finish and see what you do with it.

Its a nice design. Hope it sells well for you. If you made a 6mm scale version I’d buy that for sure (been looking for a good drop ship). I’m sure it would be quite popular in 15mm as well.

I guess I’m the only one that saw it and thought it was the most epic terrain element ever then. If I got it, it would be jigsawed, mounted to bases, and set up for a Thunderhawk Down type scenario.

There are also a good deal of Ork players who would loot one, though, yeah.. for play Apocalypse is about it.
UNLESS.. you think outside of 40k. This strikes me as actually being the proper size for Mechwarriors, with a little work it could even be a cool Mechwarrior case.

There are a number of other uses you could use it for.. many that have absolutely NOTHING to do with Games Workshop even (gasp). Oh well.. I’ll be happily picking one up 😉
