I was born at a very young age. I plan on living forever. So far, so good.
  • The appearance of these things never ceases to amaze me. In a time when GW will try to assert ownership over a trademark like “Space Marine” where they do not currently have the trademark registered it’s seems strange to me that they would continue to let people use their ACTUAL LOGO without complaint.

  • I believe (and I’m not a patent/copyright attorney so I could definitely be wrong) the reason this is ok to do is because it falls under fair use. Simply put they aren’t charging a fee and profiting from it. That’s my extremely simplistic understanding of it.

I’m actually quite glad that these continue to get made. I’ve seen some pretty amazing fan made codices and army books, and I commend the effort that goes into them for what amounts to just “the love of the game.”

Even if they aren’t profiting, they are misappropriating the Warhammer logo, which damages their IP.

        Sorry. “their” = GW’s

I’m amazed at these, like most of us…

What amazes me more is that a bunch of fanboyz can knack up a codex in a few months, and it takes 6 years for GW to give me a new Dark Elves Army book…

I’m amazed at seeing “Warhammer” and “free” in the same sentence!
