The Orville is Star Trek without the Star Trek. Seth MacFarlane's sci-fi TV show is a tongue-in-cheek love letter to all things Trek. Soon, you'll be able to add these characters to your tabletops in HeroClix. WizKids has announced a licensing partnership where they'll be bringing you sets based on the show.

Once again expanding its licensing portfolio and suite of collectible miniatures, WizKids, the leader in high-quality pre-painted miniatures and established board games, has announced a licensing partnership to feature a popular sci-fi TV series, The Orville, in upcoming HeroClix releases. The new line is slated to hit shelves worldwide in Fall 2019, sold exclusively through Alliance and Diamond distributors in the U.S.
Currently in its second season, The Orville is set 400 years in the future and follows The U.S.S. Orville, a mid-level exploratory spaceship. Its crew, both human and alien, face the wonders and dangers of outer space, while also dealing with the problems of everyday life. It is the second television series license to be added to the HeroClix line.
“We’re particularly excited to bring The Orville on board,” said Justin Ziran, president of WizKids. “Rather than treading a line between serious and playful, the series is both simultaneously, which is a quality you see reflected in most HeroClix games.”
The first product to release will be a Jumbo Starter Set featuring the main crew, including Captain Ed Mercer, played by actor Seth MacFarlane, along with Commander Kelly Grayson, Dr. Claire Finn, Lt. Alara Kitan, Lt. Gordon Malloy, Lt. Commander Bortus, Lt. Commander John LaMarr, enabling HeroClix players and fans to embark in interstellar combat with their favorite characters.
