There's a new Marvel movie coming out soon in the form of Captain Marvel. In it, the titular Captain must take on shape-changing Skrulls who are trying to take over the world. Now, you can do the same. USAOpoly has released Captain Marvel: Secret Skrulls, where one player takes on the role of Captain Marvel while the others could be Skrulls, could be allies, or could be a Skrull defector. But who is who?
From the release:
USAopoly® (The OP), the board game and puzzle publisher behind the best-selling party games Telestrations® and Blank Slate™, this week released Captain Marvel: Secret Skrulls, an all-new card game inspired by the highly anticipated feature film, Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel. Using the award-winning BANG! game mechanic, Captain Marvel: Secret Skrulls lets players assume the identities of characters from the upcoming theatrical release as they attempt to defend Earth in the intergalactic conflict between the Kree and the Skrulls.
“Captain Marvel: Secret Skrulls expertly blends BANG! and Captain Marvel together to create an immersive game centered around both secrecy and cooperation,” said Candace Brenner, Vice President of Marketing. “From our decades of experience with the Marvel license, we know how to adapt the iconic moments from the big screen to compelling tabletop game experiences for fans of all ages. With its gorgeous illustrations and engaging gameplay, Captain Marvel: Secret Skrulls is bound to become a new favorite among the MCU fandom and beyond.”
Captain Marvel: Secret Skrulls is a 30-minute social deduction card game where players must strategically decide whom to trust as they stand by their alliance against shape-shifting Skrulls. Designed for four to seven people, players take on the roles of Captain Marvel, her allies, Skrulls, or a Skrull Defector and then use logical reasoning, observations and player feedback to determine who is deceiving the group and prevent them from sabotaging Captain Marvel.
