I love having a couple games around that I can just throw in my gaming backpack and pull out at a moment's notice. They're great for between other games, or to fill up time when waiting for more players to show up. Six Gun Showdown is just such a game, taking only 5-10min per hand. How fast are your reflexes? Can you get the drop on your opponent? The game is up on Kickstarter now.
From the campaign:
Six Gun Showdown is a quick 5-10 minute game where players are a character in a Wild West shootout. The game combines strategy, memory and a dexterity element, like a "quick-draw" that serves to generate tension and guides the players to read their opponent's actions, really immersing them into the feeling of being in a shootout.
Designed as a small box game that is as quick to learn as it is to play. Six Gun Showdown can be enjoyed as part of a board games night either as a quick game between other games, or run as a small tournament of linked games.
Players can choose one of six characters that each have their own deck of cards and unique dice that require different strategies to be successful. This gives Six Gun Showdown layers of tactical depth that will have you playing the game again and again.
The campaign's about halfway to its goal with 20 days left to go.
