Privateer Press Previews October Releases

Man, October can't get here fast enough. I know we're just past the 4th of July, but I'm ready for spoopy horror and cooler temperatures already. Privateer Press is getting ready for October as well with new releases on-deck for Riot Quest and Monsterpocalypse that you can check out now.

When Karchev the Terrible made the mistake of clamping the Skulls of Hate onto his own warjack body, he became one of the most malicious monstrosities the wintertime wasteland has ever seen! The Karchev & Deathjack combo cares not for loot or gear, fortune, or glory…they exist only to destroy. This expansion introduces a new co-op Boss Fight experience in which 1–4 players can battle their Crews against a super-powered Karchev & Deathjack. The solo mode can be a bit of a challenge!

Additionally, the Karchev & Deathjack model can be played as a standard member of a player’s Crew in any game mode of Riot Quest using the normal Hero stat card and Riot Gear cards included!

The normally dour Sir Dreyfus has found new joy in life, thanks to a most unusual partner. While raiding the shattered remnants of an old bank vault, Dreyfus first encountered the lovable gobber Flubbin. They were, at the time, on opposing crews, both seeking the same loot. During the battle, Dreyfus fostered respect for the small gobber’s combat prowess, while Flubbin became infatuated with the “Funny talking shiny guy in the flying suit of armor that is gonna be SO MUCH BETTER THAN MY BALLOON!” After the heist, the pair left to start their own crew.

Flubbin has made several modifications to Dreyfus’ Storm Knight armor, installing a “boomin’” propulsion system for maximum airborne velocity, as well as a tiny saddle to ride on. In return, she has agreed to help Dreyfus build a crew to patrol the wastes from the skies, intent on keeping the innocent folk of the world safe…if any are left.

Riot Quest Heist is a brand-new way to play the game using your favorite Heroes, Riot Gear, and Arena maps with an entirely new path to victory. In Heist, you won’t be earning Scrap or Bounty cards until one player has earned seven victory points. Instead, you’ll be stealing Treasure Chests from around the Arena and trying to return them to your home base before the game ends, all while fending off your opponents, the security system trying to thwart your every move, and the bots on patrol.

This expansion supports free-for-all play for up to 4 players in Riot Quest and includes the new Gunner Hero Princess Delores Graciela and a new Riot Gear card!

After centuries of lying dormant, the Vegetyrants have begun to emerge from their verdant nests. The presence of alien invasive species to their home planet disturbed the natural balance, and now they rise to defend the world and reclaim the wild places of the planet. Stomatavorus Rex is an ancient incarnation of the Vegetyrants. Savage in nature, it consumes life from any foe that falls prey to its leaching vines.

Where the powerful Vegetyrants tread, mysterious plants the size of houses grow in their wake. The Stomatavor, a horrible plated monstrosity, is perfectly suited to the germination process. Often appearing at the feet of the mighty Vegetyrants, it uses its barbs to rip apart foes that would endanger the earth. Unlike the savage nature of the Stomatavor, the Imperial Bloom is one of the more enchanting of these massive plants. It can sacrifice itself to tap into the near-infinite energy of the earth or use a much smaller tithe of power to clone itself through its prodigious root network.

The invasion has begun—the Necroscourge have begun to lay siege to the battle-torn cities of our planet! When Galamaxus landed on Earth, one of its first missions was to seek out biomass and convert it into the next Necroscourge monster. Facing off with a Triton monster, Galamaxus converted its prey using the Necroscourge beings swarming its body to overtake and repurpose the crustacean into the monster known as Karkinos. Karkinos is an avatar of destruction, leaving everything in its wake decimated.

The Blade Revenants and Hurling Swarms of the Necroscourge exemplify the nature of those transformed by the swarm of nanites. Blade Revenants act as aggressive frontline troopers that initiate the process of recycling all living matter for the might of the Necroscourge. Once granted sufficient energy, Hurling Swarms are then created from the revenants’ bodies. These swarms are the true workhorses in the process of repurposing living creatures, causing a cascading reaction that produces more and more undead.
