It's already Tuesday. You know that's not a complaint from me. Get me through the week as fast as possible so I can get back to the weekend. And I've got D&D on Saturday, too. So, I'm rip-rearin' and ready to go. To help speed things along, let's check in on some gaming podcasts. This week on the dial we have:
Clash of Cultures Monumental Edition is out! We reviewed the original way back in Ep 121 in 2013. Does the new edition fix our concerns while keeping what made the original great?
For this special episode of At The Table, Rob and Justin come on to explain to me, Tony, why my dreams were dashed against the rocks. That is right, they talk about the decision to cancel the Kickstarter for Thunder Road Vendetta and why it was the thing to do While I may not fully agree with them crushing my spirit, I do understand now after our discussion. I hope the explanation helps you to understand and helps bring some closure to this event and tragedy for those of us that love that game. But hope is on the horizon in 2022 when the relaunch is scheduled to take place. I know I will be there, unless I am on vacation again, then I will catch it when I get back.
It's Halloween and the Founders are back to scare your pants off! The gang talks about Origins Game Fair, feature review Unfathomable from Fantasy Flight Games and Spooky Board Game Rethemes. AND throughout the episode the gang is visited by the Gatekeeper from the old Nightmare board game to give us some Halloween pop quizzes.
Suspect everyone – I personally think that Andy Lewis chap is a bit dodgy – because we sample brand new Cthulhu hidden traitor game Unfathomable and try and compare it to Dark Moon, and Battlestar Galactica. We then build on the backs of the poor by playing London and look at Asmodee price rises and the announcement of Dungeons and Dragons 6th edition.
