Back into the regular swing of things as it's Tuesday and that's how weeks work. Monday, you're getting your bearings back in line. Tuesday, you get things done. At least, for me, that's how it goes. And, as always, I'm ready for that weekend. To help get there, I listen to some gaming podcasts.
Today on the dial we have: Morrus' Unofficial Tabletop RPG Talk Episode 61: Stealing Rules; Gamers Lounge Episode 155: Rising Sun; The Polyhedron Collider Cast Episode 67: Gen Con News, Undo and Bunny Kingdom; Rolling Dice & Taking Names Episode 178: Gen Con Live! – With lots of special guests including Stefan Feld!; Lords of the Dungeon 30: What New Dungeons and Dragons Class We’d Create and First Time Game Master Tips; Tabletop Talk Episode 35: Yan Lo (Resurrectionist) Deep Dive with Steve Bynum; Meeples & Miniatures Episode 274: Red Alert Review; and The D6 Generation Pip Episode 25: Marvel Crisis Protocol Early Thoughts.
This week, Morrus and Peter talk about stealing rules! No, not rules for thieves, but different rules systems perfect for your home game that you can steal from other roleplaying games. In the news, EN World gets an upgrade, Wil Wheaton suing Geek & Sundry, map of Avernus from Dungeons & Dragons Descent into Avernus, Jason Bulmahn makes a minimalist Pathfinder character sheet, and more! Plus another round of Which Would You Rather and a brand new sketch!
Editor’s Note: Morrus has a new puppy named Hudson. He is a good boy, but he is also a puppy and thus chews on things. So there is a lot of random noise in this episode as Hudson chewed on XLR cables, microphone stands, plug leads, and even the leg of the table the microphones were on.
Episode 155 has Bill joined by Benjamin and newbie Lamont. This was Lamont’s first game of Rising Sun by CMON, and they boy’s thought it would be a good time to give it a review.
Listen to a new player’s take on the game and mechanics. Benjamin comes around after not really being taken with the game for the 2 previous plays, and it’s hard to tell if there’s a game Bill doesn’t like.
Please do Enjoy
