A cold and blustery Monday has turned into a colder and blusterier (sure, we'll say that's a word, why not?) Tuesday. Makes me glad I got all my extra blankets out over the weekend. Seems Nature went, "Thanksgiving's over. Winter now!" It's a good time to curl up next to the fireplace with a cup of hot cocoa and listen to the radio... gaming podcasts on the radio, of course.
This week we have: The Polyhedron Collider Cast Episode 51: Dinosaur Island and Ravage: Dungeons of Plunder; Chance of Gaming Episode 119; Drive Thru FM Episode 21: BGG.CON 2018; The Secret Cabal Episode 171: Cerebria The Inside World, Yokohama and a Short Topic Extravaganza; Epic Gaming Night Episode 180: Holiday Giving top 5!; Singled Out Episode 78: Steamcon 2018 and Season 4 Trends; Geeks of the North Episode 54: Wet Your Palette; and Guilds of the North Episode 13: New England Team Tournament.
Andy is busy moving house, or playing Deep Madness in any empty flat, so it’s just Jon and Steve on this episode and subsequently proceedings are much more relaxed. Pour yourself a drink (we recommend a nice dark beer to sip on) and get cosy as Jon and Steve take you through the latest news, visit Dinosaur Island and delve deep into Dungeons of Plunder.
We also answer questions from the mailbag, which all seem to be directed at Andy – d’oh!
In which we talk about Boardgame Geek Con, failed kickstarters, Keyforge , what we played and news of the week.
Chris is back from his trip the UK and talks about his games he played with our English Cabalists. Then we feature the newest Mind Clash game, Cerebria The Inside World. Then we take a look back at Yokohama from TMG one year later. After Tony T gives us the greatest news segment in all of board gaming, the gang hosts another short topic extravaganza in which we talk about our shelf of shame and getting better at board games.
What we have been playing!
- (Roy) Flashpoint: Fire Rescue, Keyforge
- (Rob) Animal upon Animal
- (Matt) Charterstone
In this episode Andrew and Jason discuss Steamcon 2018 as well as how the Season 4 trends are shaping up.
This week, we chat about our hobby and games, how to push contrast on plain paintjob, and answer a question about wet palettes. We also talk about Lucain the Merchant, by Iter Miniatures, and The Getaway KS project, by Infamy Miniatures. So sit back, relax, grab a paintbrush and enjoy the show!
Welcome to the thirteenth episode of Guilds of the North, our Guild Ball spin-off. In this show, Paul, Steve and little Antoine (not our usual co-host, the other one) chat about their trip and games at the New England Team Tournament. So sit back, relax, grab a paintbrush and enjoy the show!
