New Imperial Fist and Salamander Codices Available to Order From Games Workshop

Two venerable chapters of the Space Marines are gettting Codex updates this week from Games Workshop. I remember back when these two were just alternate paint schemes, but they've had many updates since then, coming into their own with full support. If you're wanting to get some new Imperial Fists or Salamanders, this is an update you'll be excited about.

But even if you don't play those chapters, there's a new unit and vehicle to add to your Marine forces.

The Imperial Fists are the most stalwart of all Adeptus Astartes, and their stoicism in battle is legendary. When not serving in their celebrated role as Sentinels of Terra, the Imperial Fists ply the stars aboard their matchless battle station, Phalanx, to defeat the Emperor's foes wherever they may be found. Inside this 64-page hardback codex supplement, you'll find everything you need to unleash the Imperial Fists in battle, plus thrilling lore and art to inspire your own collection.

Inside this book, you'll find:
- The history of the Imperial Fists and their relentless determination to live up to the exacting standards of their Primarch, Rogal Dorn
- A detailed description of Chapter organisation and iconography
- An Imperial Fists bestiary with a detailed background for Captain Darnath Lysander of the 1st Company and Captain Tor Garadon of the 3rd Company
- Key background information on the Crimson Fists – the legendary successor Chapter of the Imperial Fists – and a bestiary of Pedro Kantor, their valiant Chapter Master
- A showcase of stunningly painted Citadel miniatures
- Rules for Captain Lysander, Captain Garadon and Chapter Master Pedro Kantor
- Stratagems, Warlord Traits, Tactical Objectives, Relics of the Fists and the Geokinesis discipline, defining the ways that the Imperial Fists wage war
- And more!

Tor Garadon is the Imperial Fists' longest serving Battle Company Captain, an unstoppable warrior in whom the lessons of the Primarch have been distilled to their most punishing form. Tested on a thousand worlds, he is a master of the battlefield, and an unyielding bulwark against those who would oppose Mankind.

Armed with a backpack-mounted grav-gun and the artificer power fist known as the Hand of Defiance, Tor Garadon is among the Imperial Fists' most formidable warriors. Even as explosions tear the ground around him, the 3rd Company Captain stoically guides the fire of the warriors around him with curt commands and targeting information gleaned from his signum array.

This 21-piece plastic set makes one Captain Tor Garadon and is supplied with one Citadel 40mm Round Base.

The Salamanders are among the noblest of the Adeptus Astartes, fighting without hesitation to defend those who cannot protect themselves. Yet this empathy belies an incredible determination in battle, for the Salamanders are masters of fire and fury, armed with masterwork wargear forged by their most skilled artificers. In this 64-page hardback codex supplement, you'll find everything you need to unleash the Salamanders in battle, plus thrilling lore and art to inspire your own collection.

Inside this book, you'll find:
- The history of the Salamanders, and how they unleash the molten fury of their volcanic world upon their foes with their devastating artisan wargear
- A detailed description of Chapter organisation and iconography
- A Salamanders bestiary with a detailed background for Forgefather Vulkan He'stan and Captain Adrax Agatone of the 3rd Company
- Rules for Vulkan He'stan and Captain Agatone
- A showcase of stunningly painted Citadel miniatures
- Stratagems, Warlord Traits, Tactical Objectives, Relics of Nocturne, the Promethean discipline, defining the ways that the Salamanders wage war
- And more!

Just as the duties of the Salamanders 3rd Company place an exceptional strain upon the noble and compassionate warriors who must discharge them, so an exceptional leader is required to ensure that this burden never becomes too great for even Vulkan's sons to bear. Adrax Agatone is that leader.

Adrax Agatone is the anvil against which the enemies of the Salamanders break. Where he holds the line, the Salamanders fight with unstoppable determination. Agatone's Arridian drakehide cloak protects him from all but the most potent weaponry, while he immolates them with Drakkis – his masterwork hand flamer – and delivers thunderous blows with his thunder hammer, Malleus Noctum.

This 13-piece plastic set makes one Captain Adrax Agatone and is supplied with one Citadel 40mm round base.

Clad in Mk X Phobos-pattern armour, the light and fast-moving Primaris Infiltrators are responsible for disrupting enemy communications and sabotaging targets of opportunity. The first the enemy sees is a cascade of choking smog as the Infiltrators hurl a barrage of smoke grenades, masking their advance. As the foe peers into the swirling cloud, the Space Marines bring their targets down with disciplined bursts of fire, the augur-scopes of their marksman bolt carbines lighting each victim up for the kill.

Each Infiltrator is armed with a marksman bolt carbine and wears Mark X Phobos armour festooned with pouches for their infiltration gear. Additional parts are included to build up to two Sergeants and up to two models with comms arrays.

This kit contains two identical frames, each containing five models which can be built as Infiltrators or Incursors. The set comprises a total of 266 components, 10 Citadel 32mm round bases and a Space Marines Infantry Transfer Sheet.

The Impulsor is a lightly armoured, fast-moving assault transport favoured by Vanguard Space Marine forces. Benefiting from the same advanced gravitic-impulsion technology employed by the heavier Repulsor-class chassis, the Impulsor boasts vectored thrusters that offer the it far greater manoeuvrability. Its open-backed design allows it to transport a squad of Space Marines swiftly into battle, entirely bypassing such obstacles and delivering its deadly cargo into the heart of the battle.

The Impulsor is equipped with a pair of storm bolters as standard, but these can be swapped out for two fragstorm grenade launchers. The vehicle can also be upgraded with additional weapons in the form of an ironhail heavy stubber and a choice of bellicatus missile array or ironhail skytalon array. Alternatively, the Impulsor can be outfitted with an orbital comms array with which to summon a devastating barrage from space, or a shield dome to offer it additional protection with a powerful force field.

The kit comprises 108 components and included all of the Impulsor's weapons and wargear options. The model comes supplied with a Citadel 100mm round base and clear hover stand upon which to mount it, as well as an Ultramarines Vehicle Transfer Sheet.
