Even if a Kickstarter is doing well, that doesn't mean that there couldn't be fundamental improvement that change how the overall campaign should be run. So, while Holy Grail Games' previous Kickstarter for Titan, their upcoming board game, was well over its funding goal, headed for 2x, Holy Grail Games cancelled it and will be relaunching soon.
From the announcement:
After taking into account the feedback from our fans and backers, Holy Grail Games has made the decision to reboot the Titan Kickstarter campaign.
Titan is a truly ambitious project, and we stand behind every element of its design 100%. However, we feel that it’s not currently reaching its full potential. Our community has brought a few issues to our attention that we feel we can change, so we’ve decided to take a step back and take the time to ensure that Titan is the best that it can be!
Our backers have being giving us feedback about the price of the game and requests for more choices in terms of pledge levels, along with a few other issues. As a result, we're using this reboot as an opportunity to address these matters.
We plan to relaunch Titan at the end of October with a bigger, better campaign. All of our deepest thanks to those who have supported Titan so far. Rest assured, Titan is coming back and you will be delighted with the result!
