Some of you may have seen The Toys that Made Us. It's a series on Netflix all about various toy lines and where they came from. Most of them were a toy line that then had cartoons made from them in order to, well, sell more toys. Well, Games Workshop is looking to do that. Maybe not necessarily a Saturday morning cartoon, but along with the video and board games that they've got, they're now looking into tv and movies.
About the announcement:
Games Workshop has now officially announced to have formed a special task force to engage in new film and animation projects revolving around their well-known game universes "Warhammer" and "Warhammer 40,000". Especially "Warhammer 40,000" is regarded as one of the last big unyielded and available IPs for a potential movie franchise among industry members. "Going forward, we want to make it easier than ever for people to engage with and immerse themselves in our IP. To that end, I have a small, senior team to help me find new partners to help us bring the worlds of Warhammer to life like never before. Together, we’ll explore animation, live action and more, while ensuring we do no harm to our core miniatures business."
